Indian cricket team continued their fantastic form and booked their place in the Asia Cup 2023 final after beating Sri Lanka in their second Super Four encounter at the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Tuesday.

The visitor recorded a 41-run victory over the home side with an all-round performance by their bowlers as Sri Lanka were all-out for just 172 runs during their chase of 213.

Indian pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj gave early blows to the Sri Lankan batting lineup as they were 25-3 in just 7.1 overs.

Dhanajaya de Silva and Dunith Wellalage built a 63-run partnership but that came of no use as the former lost his wicket by playing a rash shot.

Meanwhile, India posted 213 runs on the scoreboard while batting first.

Skipper Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill gave their side a bright start but they were soon toppled by Wellalage.

The 20-year-old continued dismantling the Indian batters and soon completed his first-ever international five-wicket haul.

India were soon all out of 213 runs after a long battle with the quality spin attack of Sri Lanka.
